Winter guests of all ages, but especially younger guests, love tobogganing in winter. Close to your Bergheimat Hotel you will find The Kopphütte toboggan run, as well as various other toboggan runs nearby.
Tobogganing in Salzburgerland
Start your toboggan run combined with wonderful winter experiences right at the Bergheimat Hotel. Walk on one of the hiking paths through the snow-covered winter forest (walking time ca. 1hr) or take the ski bus from the hotel and then take a walk of about ½ hour to the Kopphütte hut at 1,300m above sea level. Here you can borrow sleighs and toboggans for a small fee. And then off you go: get into your start position and dash down the mountain – 4.5 kilometres of toboggan run and an altitude difference of 447 metres lie between you and the valley. The run leads you partly through a forest and over the Schneideggberg to Rohrmoosriedel right into Mühlbach. Leave your sleighs and toboggans here and take the free ski bus back to the hotel.
Reithgut toboggan run
Right in Mühlbach you can enjoy tobogganing on the floodlit run to the valley. From the Reithgut the toboggan run leads past the village's mill and right into Mühlbach centre. This run is about 450 metres long and the walk to the starting point takes ca. 20 minutes.
Children toboggans with backrest for your individual toboggan ride are available for free at the hotel.
