Because sustainability is particularly close to our hearts at the Hotel Bergheimat, we have made it our business to make travel more ecological. Many of our guests travel with the combustion engine, as the lack of charging stations in the hiking and ski resorts often causes concern. With us, these worries are a thing of the past, because here you don't have to search long for an e-charging station. Convenient charging directly in front of the hotel is part of good service in our opinion.

Furthermore, we have made our entire operation more energy efficient. The hotel's own water source is used for the wellness area, heating and ventilation, and food is also purchased within the region whenever possible.

Elektrodrive charging station directly at the Hotel Bergheimat

Equipped with a 22kW Electrodrive socket from Salzburg AG, nothing stands in the way of charging the e-car of our guests. The charging station is located directly at the parking lot of the Hotel Bergheimat in Mühlbach am Hochkönig. Two additional charging stations exist in the private garage, which can be used in case of bottlenecks. Simply plug the Type 2 connector into the vehicle and the batteries will recharge in an environmentally friendly way until the next trip. In the meantime, our hotel guests as well as external guests can replenish their reserves with a refreshing drink. The charge for the tapped electricity is staggered and depends on the respective battery size. The settlement for hotel guests can be made via the hotel bill.

This is how e-charging stations in Austria generally work

In Austria, you can basically use the e-charging stations for any manufacturer brand. This applies to the charging points of the Austrian freeway company ASFINAG, as well as to all other providers. The cheapest way to charge is with your own charging card. However, if only one charging station, from another provider, is within reach, it is also possible to pay conveniently by credit card, smartphone or in cash. By comparing the current time tariffs, you can find the cheapest tariffs for your travel period.

By the way, if you're smart about charging, you won't charge to 100 percent. Because from a charge level of 80 percent, the e-car often does not fully absorb the charging power. So it's better to charge only up to 80 percent. That way, you need fewer and shorter charging breaks overall.
